Henri Degre Helps Emergency Victims and Personnel Get a Little R&R

Firefighters and other emergency response personnel have some of the toughest jobs in the entire nation. Showing up to the scene of a recent fire, natural disaster or other emergency, and facing the grief of those who were victimized can be really difficult. Firefighters are often tasked with the responsibility of saving the lives of people who get caught in fires. Other emergency personnel must often pull bodies out from under the debris left behind in a natural disaster or terrorist attack, and sometimes those bodies are still breathing. As a former police officer, no doubt Henri Degre has witnessed his fair share of grief resulting from emergency situations that caused casualties and even death.

Henri Degre is the GM of product development with Mobile Concepts, a vehicle and trailer manufacturing company based in Pennsylvania. A former police officer, Henri Degre took his experience in the field and applied it in his work with Mobile Concepts where he now assists law enforcement officials by providing them with efficient mobile solutions that make their jobs easier and more effective. An example lies in the Mobile Concepts Rehabilitation Trailer, designed specifically for firefighters and other emergency response personnel. Henri Degre developed this vehicle to meet the needs of fire departments and emergency medical service organizations all over the country.

Henri Degre’s rehab trailers, as their name implies, help emergency responders get relief after responding to an emergency situation. Featuring a long list of equipment, including a medical monitoring station, a rehab room with oxygen outlets and a surveillance system, the firefighter rehab trailer helps emergency responders rehabilitate, providing them with:

  • A convenient place to rest and recover
  • Relief from the dangerous environmental conditions they were likely exposed to during their response
  • Active or passive cooling / Active or passive warming
  • A means of rehydrating
  • Calorie and electrolyte replacement
  • Medical monitoring and treatment
  • Release for return to active duty

If a firefighter or emergency responder is injured on the job, Henri Degre has the solution. The rehabilitation trailer is funded under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), which has been helping firefighters and first responders obtain the equipment and resources needed to protect them and provide relief from emergency hazards since 2001.
